Hi there! My name is Niki and I love nothing more than getting lost in a good story. Whether it's a sweeping fantasy romance, a heart-pounding thriller, or a mind-bending sci-fi adventure, I'm always on the lookout for the next book that will steal a piece of my heart and soul.

My passion for reading began at a young age, but it wasn't until I stumbled upon my first historical romance as a teenager that I truly fell in love with the power of storytelling. Realizing that one single book can open up a whole new world for me and introduces me to the characters and settings that feel like they are lifted straight from my dreams.

Over the years, I've discovered countless books that have touched my heart and left an indelible mark on my soul. From the sparkling vampires of Twilight to the badass heroes of The Mortal Instruments, each story has brought me new joy and inspiration. But like many other readers, I also faced my fair share of challenges along the way. After years of devouring books at an almost alarming rate, I suddenly found myself in a reading slump that lasted for what felt like ages.

I missed the feeling of getting lost in a good book and connecting with other readers who shared this passion. I didn’t even know how much. Fortunately, that all changed in the summer of 2022, when a chance encounter with Twilight reignited my love of reading and set me on a journey of rediscovery.

As I revisited old favorites and discovered new gems, I found myself longing for a better way to organize my reading notes and connect with other book lovers. That's why I created Libello - an app and website that make it easy to keep track of your reading highlights, share your thoughts with other readers, and discover new books to fall in love with.

With Libello, you'll never lose track of your favorite stories again, and you'll always have a community of like-minded book lovers to connect with. The inspiration for the name Libello came from a Latin word that represents a small notebook, a booklet, and this is exactly what Libello is to me and what I hope it will be to you.
